The person behind the work

I'm Armani McKalpain, a multidisciplinary designer and creative from Detroit. I'm proficient in graphic design, video, web design and artificial intelligence, with a focus on visual storytelling and careful attention to detail.

I taught myself design in 2014, launched my first clothing label a year later, and have been building brands, campaigns, publications and motion art since. If I can see it in my mind's eye, I can create it.

By day I'm a senior multimedia consultant. On my own time I take on freelance work, run two labels, Legend and Hubris, and lead tcb (the creative block), a community organization I started in 2025.
